Dr. Pete Trzop
Founder / Team Leader
Dr. Pete Trzop is the founding member and team leader of the Veterans Overseas Deployment program. He is a veteran of the US Army and US Air Force. Currently, Dr. Pete does a good amount of volunteer work and projects throughout the world with emphasis on supporting veterans and their families, youth and seniors.
He is a professor at multiple colleges in the area of Political Science, Business and Organizational Leadership. Dr. Pete is married to the lovely Chasity Trzop, and has two tax breaks: Reagan and James.
Jon Beach
Director of Operations
Jon L. Beach is the Director of Operations for Veterans Overseas Deployment (VOD), an Army veteran U.S. Army Military Police, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Law Enforcement, and a U.S. Postal Service Letter Carrier. In 2011, he began expanding his career as an VSO for The American Legion, Department of Kentucky; in 2014 became a volunteer for the Legion Overseas Deployment (LOD),becoming an integral part of the Veterans Overseas Deployments (LOD/VOD). In February 2023, Jon was promoted to Director of Operations for his outstanding logistical work in organizing the ongoing deployments of the VOD volunteer teams to include orchestrating all VOD logistics and VSO operations at Naval Air Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
Will Davis
Service Officer
Will joined the US Army in August 1984 and completed his Basic Training at Fort Benning, GA. During his 21 years of active duty, he has performed many duties including BN XO Driver, Team Leader and Squad Leader 1/325IN 82ndAirborne Division and 3/325IN Airborne Combat Team.
Will has earned a B.A. Degree in Science. Will is oldest of 5 siblings and he has three kids and two grandkids who are spread throughout North Carolina. He is currently the Department Veteran Service Office for the American Legion for the State of Colorado.
Will is a life time member of the Post 103, National Association of Department Service Officer, Court Appointed Special Advocates, United Service Organizations, United States of America Drill SGT Association.
Dr. Annette Johnson
Grant Writer / Program Director
Dr. Annette Johnson served in the United States Air Force Transportation Division, her service included Protocol duties, driving for multiple Heads of State. She has volunteered her whole life as a veteran advocate and serving her community. As a disabled veteran she is the CEO and founder of her nonprofit organization; currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Fisher House Foundation of Colorado, and for over 40 years she has worked to improve the lives of veterans, socio-economically disadvantaged and disabled individuals. Working within the VOD has given Dr. Johnson an opportunity to expand her leadership roles, bringing underrepresented Americanism and Scholarship programs to active-duty service personnel and their children, while serving in other countries.
Jeremy "JD" Dodson
Technical Support Specialist
Jeremy "JD" Dodson is VOD's Technical Support Specialist. He helps run everything behind the scenes from managing the website to content creation for social media. He is a 2014 Kentucky Boys State Graduate and received his Bachelors in Communication from the University of Louisville. Currently, he is the Digital & Creative Coordinator at Better Business Bureau serving Greater Kentucky and South Central Indiana as well as the owner of JD Entertainment LLC.
